My Story

For me like many people my mobile was the camera that is always in my pocket and I found myself capturing moments where ever I was, a landscape, a snap of the sea rolling on to a beach, some creature that had sat still long enough, or a scene where the light or shadow had caught my attention.

Over time, I've gone from taking snaps, to being more considered about the composition, the effect of light and shade, deepening my understanding of the art of photography. Now I look to not only capture a moment or a scene, but to try and make an image that tells a story, that raises a question... Who? What? Why? When?

Getting out with my camera now means not only getting some much needed exercise, but allows me to put my stress and worries aside for a while, to truly be in the moment as I capture the moments and remind myself to notice the world around me.

The creative process of taking a photograph is such a rewarding one. It is that, that drives me to keep picking up my camera,
